Following a sell-out performance last year, Laurene Durantel revisits her wonderful improvised accompaniment to the acclaimed film Man With a Movie Camera.
Dziga Vertov's 1929 film, part documentary and cinematic art follows city life in the Soviet Union through the course of a single day. It's a celebration of modern life - a brave new world? - with thriving industries, crowded streets and intimate, disarming moments of great humour and pathos.
Performing live: Laurene Durantel (bass, piano, voice)
Tickets £10, £4.50 for members of Showroom's Cine26 scheme
