Alfred Hitchcock’s sinister, suspenseful tale of crime and romance is one of the last British silent films to be made. With his traditional cameo appearance in the first reel, to a spectacular chase through the British Museum by moonlight in the final reel, Blackmail is a classic thriller from the Master of Suspense.
Jonathan Best, Director of Yorkshire Silent Film Festival and tonight's pianist, will give a talk 6.30pm-7pm. The film will start shortly afterwards.
Performing live: Jonathan Best (piano)
