The Lodger with new harp score by Elizabeth-Jane Baldry

A serial killer is on the loose in London and the city is on high alert. Meanwhile, the mysterious new lodger at the home of Mr and Mrs Bunting starts to attract suspicion. Could he be the man police are hunting for? 

The Lodger is the first thriller in the Hitchcock style and this screening will be accompanied by harpist Elizabeth-Jane Baldry whose performance in Hebden Bridge was one of the highlights of the 2016 festival.

The Lodger is the first of two Yorkshire Silent Film Festival screenings at the Picture House. On May 20 at 5pm we're showing 7th Heaven, the classic Hollywood melodrama starring Oscar-winning Janet Gaynor. Why not save money by buying a joint ticket for both films?
